DAIRYLAND WALKERS BIMONTHLY MEETING
REI
APRIL 9, 2003

Officers Present:  Pam Wilson (Co-President); Jo and Bob Sparks (Co-Vice Presidents); Russ Crane (Treasurer); Karen Reger (Secretary); Barbara Borde (Member at Large)

In Attendance:  15

Meeting

Welcome  (Bob Sparks)

Bob convened the business meeting.  He indicated that Diane Thornbery needed a few more volunteers for next Saturday's Nakoma walk.

Treasurer's Report  (Russ Crane)

We had a balance of $2,670.35 at the last Board meeting on March 18.  Since then, we have had income totaling $313.00, and expenses totaling $859.21, with a present balance of $2,124.14.

Program

After watching a short video about GPS (Global Positioning System) units, we were given a presentation by James Bedrosian of the REI staff on this subject.  He gave tips on how to use them, prices for various models, plus showing the software that can be incorporated into the units and other accessories.

After the program, people enjoyed the cookies and juice supplied by the Sparks.
