Directions:

The Inn is located on the western edge of the
town just before the railroad overpass. Register there, then drive about 3 miles
on US 2 toward Iron Mountain. Directions are at the starting box. Look for a
sign on US 2 indicating Fumee Lake Natural Area. |

| Description: |
This is a walk around two small lakes, Little
and Big Fumee. It is in the 1,092 acre Fumee Lake Natural Area, home to a wide
variety of flora and fauna. The walk is on dirt trails. The 11 km walk is flat
around the two lakes. The 14 km trail is around the two lakes and up and down a
ridge that can be difficult. There is spring water at one end of the large
lake. This is all in an undeveloped area with outhouses at both ends of the
lake. |
