Allen Centenial GardensAllen Centennial Gardens on the University of Wisconsin campus.  Be sure to visit this wonderful garden shortly after leaving the Lakeshore path. Union TerraceThis is the view of Lake Mendota from the Memorial Union Terrace.  The Terrace is a popular place to have a beer, meet friends, eat UW Babcock Hall ice cream (sold inside the Union), and just hang out. A great stop mid-way through the walk.

Eastside Historic Walk Photos
Orton Park gazeboOrton Park was Madison's first city park and is a popular neighborhood gathering place. Olbrich Botanical GardensOlbrich Botanical Gardens are a highlight of the Eastside Historic Walk. A stroll through the gardens is optional. The Bolz Conservatory houses rainforest plants (and birds) and costs one dollar. The gardens are free.

AVA National Convention, June 1999
The starting point for the Louisville Walk was the famous Louisville Slugger factory and museum.  Jo and Bob Sparks add a sense of scale.  The trail at the Hueston Woods (OH) State Park walk was well marked.   John and Bob Sparks and unidentified other.
