Ice Age Trail Walk
Cross Plains, WI

This is also a Girl Scout Walk Together event.
   
Start Point:

American Legion Shelter, 2217 American Legion Drive, Cross Plains.   Corner of Mills Street and Park Street.  (N43.114740  W89.650315)

Hours:
Start between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.  Finish by 3:00 p.m.

Distance:

11K, 6K & 5K
Rating:

1 Village loop – suitable for strollers & wheelchairs (5K)
3 Trail loop – not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs (6K)

(Scale 1 to 5 with 5 being the most difficult.)

Directions:

From Madison take US-14 to Cross Plains.  Turn right on American Legion Drive one block to Park Street.  Look for signs and the AVA banner.

Parking:

Ample parking is available at the American Legion and on street.

Description:

The 6K Ice Age Trail loop takes you up Hickory Hill, along the trail north of the village, and down switchbacks back to the start point.  The 5K Village loop takes you around the village of Cross Plains.  Highlights include the Rosemary Garfoot Public Library (the first green, LEED certified library in Wisconsin), the Ice Age Trail office, the newly installed veterans memorial, the old and new firehouses, the historic St Martin’s church, and museum.

There will be no award for this event.
Registration: There will be no pre-registration.

Leashed pets are allowed on this walk.

Water and facilities will be available at the start/finish.
