| Description: |
The waters of Green Lake attracted the first
settlers to this area with the Village of Dartford, now Green Lake, platted in
1847. By the 1860’s visitors from around the Midwest discovered the area as a
refreshing resort community. Green Lake continues to be known today as a summer
destination for its fishing and recreational offerings. Green Lake is
Wisconsin’s deepest natural lake with a greatest depth of 237 feet. Near Green
Lake are the grounds of the beautiful Green Lake Conference Center and the noted
Lawsonia Links golf course. The walk consists of 3 separate loops of 1.85 K,
3.7 K, and 4.7K which can be combined in different combinations. |
