Richland Center was
platted in 1851 and developed as a flour milling center. Today Richland Center
is an agricultural support community and retail trade center. Richland Center’s
greatest claim to fame is as the 1867 birthplace of world-famous architect,
Frank Lloyd Wright. The walk passes through four city parks, the Richland
Center Arboretum, across a major foot bridge, and along the banks of the Pine
River. Many historically significant buildings line the walk, including a Frank
Lloyd Wright designed warehouse. |
