| Description: |
Devil's Lake State Park is
the largest and most visited state park in Wisconsin. This event offers four
different walking routes. Two routes, a 10K and 6K, start on the East Bluff
Trail, and feature magnificent views from 500 foot quartzite bluffs overlooking
the 360 acre Devil's Lake. Both of these routes then continue on wooded trails,
and the 10K includes a section of the Ice Age Trail. Two additional routes are
offered on the west side of Devil's Lake, a 6K and 5K. The 6K climbs the west
bluff on a section of the Ice Age Trail, with terrific views from atop the
bluffs, and then returns on a nearly level trail right along the lake. The 5K is
an out and back on the trail nearly level with the west side of Devil's Lake and
is the only route rated 2B. |
